Code audit: find what will break before it breaks

We read your code, check its security, and give you a prioritized list of problems with effort estimates. You get a plan, not generic advice.

Quote and schedule after your brief

Who it's for

  • Product owners who inherited code from a previous team or contractor
  • Startups preparing for a funding round or a major launch
  • Businesses whose site or app is slow, crashes often, or costs too much to maintain
  • Companies that want to verify a vendor's work before accepting it

Problems we solve

I don't know what state our code is in. Developers say one thing, results say another.

We review the code independently. We show what works, what is risky, and what can be left alone. Findings come in plain language with examples from your repository.

We worry about a breach or leaked customer data.

We check common vulnerabilities (the OWASP Top 10 list), secrets committed to code, access rights, and dependencies with known flaws. Every finding comes with a way to fix it.

Every new feature takes longer than the last.

We look for tech debt (shortcuts taken earlier that now slow development). We rank it by impact and cost to fix.

We don't know if the system can handle more users.

We review database queries, caching, architecture, and server configuration. We point out bottlenecks and what to fix first.

What's included

  • Architecture and repository structure review
  • Security review: authentication, permissions, input handling, secrets
  • Dependency scan for known vulnerabilities
  • Code quality review: duplication, complexity, test coverage
  • Database query and slow-path review
  • Review of deployment, backups and CI/CD (automated build and release)
  • Issue register ranked as critical, important, can wait
  • Hours and cost estimate for each fix
  • PDF report and a 60-minute walkthrough call
  • AI tools for first-pass scanning; a senior engineer verifies every conclusion

Choose the scope

Use a package to describe what you need. We agree on the quote and schedule after reviewing your brief and requirements.

Express Audit

A small site or app where you need a quick picture

  • Architecture overview
  • Dependency and secrets scan
  • Top risks with priorities
  • Short report and call

Full Audit

A product with live users, before scaling or launch

  • Security review against OWASP Top 10
  • Code quality and tech debt
  • Database and performance
  • Deployment and backups
  • Issue register with hour estimates
Discuss this scope
03

Audit and Fix Plan

Teams who want to move straight on with an executor

How we work

01

Brief and requirements

You describe the task and current workflow. We clarify requirements, choose a first stage and prepare a quote.

02

First-pass scan

We run automated checks on dependencies, secrets and code style. This gives a quick risk map.

03

Manual review

A senior engineer reads the critical parts: payments, authorization, data handling. Automation cannot replace this.

04

Report and priorities

We build the issue register and estimate hours and cost. Each item has an explanation and a way to verify the fix.

05

Walkthrough and decision

We hold a call and answer questions. You decide what to fix yourself and what to hand to us. Payment is in stages.

Scope and limits

  • We don't guarantee the code has zero vulnerabilities. An audit lowers risk but doesn't remove it.
  • We don't run a full penetration test within these packages. That is separate work.
  • We don't rewrite code without your approval and a separate invoice.

FAQ

What do you need from me to start?

Read-only repository access, a short product description, and a contact who knows the system. Deployment docs help too. We don't need production secret keys.

Will you see our passwords and customer data?

No. We work with code, not the live database. If we need a test environment, we use anonymized data. All access stays yours, and you can revoke it any time.

Which languages and stacks do you review?

Most often JavaScript and TypeScript, Python, PHP and their popular frameworks. We discuss unusual stacks upfront. If we lack experience, we say so.

How is this different from an automated scanner?

A scanner finds common mistakes but doesn't understand your business logic. We combine automation with manual review and rank findings by their impact on your business.

How much will fixing the problems cost?

We prepare a quote after reviewing your brief and requirements. A first stage can cover: architecture overview; Dependency and secrets scan. Scope, payment and schedule are agreed before work starts.

Can we run a pilot with a measurable result?

Yes. We take one problem, such as a slow page or a vulnerability, and agree a measurable target before we start. After the fix, we verify it together.
