N8n on your own server: automations that run, data that stays yours

We deploy n8n (a workflow builder that connects your website, CRM, email and messengers) on a server you own, then set up backups, updates and monitoring so workflows keep running.

Quote and schedule after your brief

Who it's for

  • Teams outgrowing cloud n8n or Zapier plans and tired of per-execution pricing
  • Companies that must keep customer data off third-party platforms (EU clients, healthcare, finance)
  • Businesses with a few automations running on someone's laptop or personal account
  • Site and store owners who want forms, CRM, payments and AI agents wired together in one place

Problems we solve

Cloud automation gets more expensive with every workflow, and limits hit at the worst moment

On your own server you pay for the machine, not for each run. We size the server to your load and show you what it costs.

Customer data passes through third-party servers, and a client contract says it can't

We host n8n in the region you need, such as the EU. Only your team has access to the database and files.

Someone built a workflow once, and now nobody knows who maintains it or what happens when it breaks

We set up error alerts, daily backups of the database and encryption key, and hand over workflows with documentation. Nothing is tied to our account.

Updating n8n feels risky, so it never gets updated

We update a test copy first, check your key workflows, and only then update production. If something breaks, we roll back from backup.

What's included

  • Server selection and setup (a VPS, meaning a rented virtual machine) in the region you need
  • N8n installed with Docker (containers that are easy to update and move) and a PostgreSQL database
  • Domain, HTTPS certificate and reverse proxy (Caddy or Nginx) so webhooks from your site and CRM stay reliable
  • Hardening: closed ports, key-only SSH login, firewall, separate user accounts
  • Daily backups of the database and the encryption key (without it, saved credentials can't be restored) to separate storage
  • Telegram or email alerts when a workflow fails or the server is overloaded
  • Connections to your tools: CRM, Google Sheets, email, Slack or Telegram, payment providers, AI models
  • One pilot workflow with a measurable KPI, such as time from new lead to first reply
  • Documentation: what runs where, how to restore from backup, how to update
  • Handover of all access: server, domain, repository, accounts

Choose the scope

Use a package to describe what you need. We agree on the quote and schedule after reviewing your brief and requirements.

01

Start

For teams moving a few workflows from the cloud to their own server

  • Server, Docker, n8n with PostgreSQL
  • Domain and HTTPS
  • Daily backups and basic hardening
  • Migration of up to 3 existing workflows
Discuss this scope
02

Business

For companies with steady load where stopped workflows cost money

  • Queue mode: separate workers that handle heavier load
  • Monitoring and failure alerts
  • Staging copy for testing updates
  • Pilot workflow with a KPI and CRM integration
  • Documentation and team walkthrough
Discuss this scope
03

Support

For teams that already run n8n and need someone to look after it

  • Scheduled, tested updates
  • Backup checks and restore tests
  • Response to outages and workflow errors
  • Small workflow edits within an agreed number of hours

How we work

01

Brief and requirements

You describe the task and current workflow. We clarify requirements, choose a first stage and prepare a quote.

02

Pilot with a KPI

We agree on one workflow and one metric that shows whether it helps. Only after that do we roll out the rest.

03

Deployment

We set up the server, n8n, HTTPS and backups. The server and domain are registered to you, and you see every step.

04

Migration and connections

We move your workflows, connect CRM, email and messengers, and test with real data.

05

Handover and support

You get documentation, access and a short walkthrough. After that you can run it yourself or add a support plan.

Scope and limits

  • We don't promise n8n is free in every case: its license restricts reselling it as a service, and server rental is paid by you directly to the provider
  • We don't promise zero downtime: a single server can fail, so we set up backups and fast recovery rather than guarantee continuity
  • We don't build complex custom workflows inside the setup packages: new workflows are quoted separately after scoping

FAQ

Why self-host n8n instead of using the cloud version?

You don't pay per execution, you decide where data is stored, and you can tune the server to your needs. The downside is that someone has to watch updates and backups. That is what our Support package covers.

What do I need to provide?

A decision on where the server should be located, a paid VPS (or access to yours), a domain, and a list of tools to connect. We handle the rest. If something is missing, we tell you what to buy.

Who owns the server, domain and workflows?

We agree on the handover of code, materials and account access before work starts. Third-party licences and services are listed separately when needed.

Can I use n8n commercially?

Yes, for your own business and internal processes. The n8n license (Sustainable Use License) restricts selling n8n itself as a hosted service. Some features, such as single sign-on (SSO), exist only in paid editions. We will tell you if you need one of them.

What happens if the server fails?

We restore n8n on a new server from the latest backup of the database and encryption key. Recovery time depends on data size and provider. Restore tests are part of the Support package.

Do I pay everything upfront?

Payment terms are agreed with the quote before work starts. For a staged project, we describe the result and acceptance criteria for each stage. Support and third-party services are listed separately.
