A cookie banner that follows the rules and keeps your analytics working

We install a consent banner, block trackers until the visitor agrees, and wire up Google Consent Mode v2 so GA4 and Google Ads still measure what they can. You get a site that fits GDPR and UK rules in practice, not just a pop-up.

Quote and schedule after your brief

Who it's for

  • Sites and stores that advertise to the EU, UK, Canada or Australia
  • Advertisers using Google Ads, GA4 and Meta Pixel who got a Consent Mode warning
  • Companies facing a vendor audit, a tender or a privacy review
  • Owners who installed a free plugin and are not sure it really blocks anything

Problems we solve

There is a banner, but trackers still load before anyone clicks

We compare network requests before and after the click. Then we move every script into Google Tag Manager or block it in the consent platform (CMP) until permission is given.

Google Ads asks for Consent Mode v2 and conversions are dropping

We set the four consent signals: ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. We choose Basic or Advanced mode and check that tags read the consent state.

The banner annoys visitors or looks like a trap

Accept and Reject get equal weight, with choices by category. We style it to match your site so it does not cover forms or the chat widget.

Nobody knows which cookies the site actually sets

We scan the site and list every cookie and third-party service with purpose and lifetime. The list feeds your cookie policy, which your lawyer then reviews.

What's included

  • Audit of scripts, pixels, embedded video and maps that load before consent
  • CMP selection for your site and budget: Cookiebot, CookieYes, Usercentrics, or Complianz for WordPress
  • Banner in your languages, with cookie categories
  • Blocking of GA4, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, chat widgets, YouTube and map embeds until consent
  • Consent Mode v2 in Google Tag Manager: default states and updates after the choice
  • Regional rules: stricter for the EEA and UK, lighter elsewhere if you decide so
  • A Cookie settings link in the footer so visitors can change their choice
  • Testing in Tag Assistant, DevTools and GA4 DebugView, with a screenshot report
  • Draft cookie policy with the real cookie list
  • A short guide for your team on adding new services safely

How we work

01

Brief and requirements

You describe the task and current workflow. We clarify requirements, choose a first stage and prepare a quote.

02

Audit

We see what loads before consent, which tags sit in Tag Manager and what is hard-coded in the site.

03

Setup

We connect the CMP, categories, blocking and Consent Mode v2, first in a test container.

04

Verification

We run the accept, reject and change-choice paths and inspect requests and events in your reports.

05

Launch and handover

We publish and hand over access and a guide. The CMP and Tag Manager accounts are yours under the agreed terms. Payment is in stages.

Scope and limits

  • We do not give legal advice. We handle the technical setup, and a lawyer should review your policy text and how the rules apply to you.
  • We do not promise complete analytics data. Some visitors will refuse cookies. Consent Mode only partly fills the gap with modeling, and that needs enough traffic.
  • We do not bypass consent. If someone asks for trackers that work despite a refusal, we say no.

FAQ

Do I need a cookie banner if I am not based in the EU?

GDPR can apply when you target or monitor people in the EU, wherever you are based. The UK has its own similar rules. Some US states and Canada have privacy laws with different triggers. A lawyer can confirm what applies to you.

What is Consent Mode v2 in plain words?

It passes the visitor's choice to Google: whether cookies can be stored for analytics and ads, and whether data can be used for ad personalization. Google tags then behave accordingly. Without it, Google can limit remarketing and measurement for EEA and UK traffic.

How much does the CMP cost per month?

We prepare a quote after reviewing your brief and requirements. A first stage can cover: cookie and script audit; CMP and banner styled to your site. Scope, payment and schedule are agreed before work starts.

Will the banner reduce my leads?

Form submissions still work without cookies, so people who want to contact you can. What shrinks is the data in ad platforms about visitors who refused cookies. We test that forms and post-consent events still count correctly.

What do you need from me?

Access to Google Tag Manager, GA4 and Google Ads (or invite us as a user), access to the site or CMS, and a list of the tools you use. If you have no Tag Manager, we create a container in your account.

What happens when I add a new script or pixel later?

It needs a consent category and should be loaded through Tag Manager or the CMP. Otherwise it may fire before consent. We leave a guide, and we can handle it for you if you prefer.
