Backlink audit: see what holds your site back and where competitors lead

We review every external link pointing to your site, flag the harmful ones, and compare your profile with three to five competitors. You get a clear action plan: what to ignore, what to disavow, and where to earn new links. We prepare a quote after your brief.

Quote and schedule after your brief

Who it's for

  • Site owners whose Google traffic dropped with no clear reason
  • Businesses that bought links in the past or worked with an agency that sent no reports
  • Companies about to start SEO that need a baseline
  • Buyers of an existing site or domain who want to check its link history

Problems we solve

Traffic fell and my agency just says "it's the algorithm"

We check the link profile and look for manual actions in Google Search Console. You see whether links are the cause or whether the problem is elsewhere, such as technical errors.

I don't know which links pointing to my site are bad

We export links from several sources and sort them by spam signals: junk directories, site networks, irrelevant languages, odd anchor text. Each group is marked keep, monitor, or disavow.

Competitors outrank me even though my site is just as good

We compare profiles: where their links come from, which sites link to them but not you, and which pages earn them the most. The result is a list of realistic sources you can approach.

I'm afraid old paid links will hurt me now

We look for traces of paid and swapped links. If the risk is real, we prepare a disavow file (a list that tells Google which links to ignore). If not, we say so and recommend doing nothing.

What's included

  • Link export from Ahrefs, Semrush and Google Search Console, merged into one sheet
  • Search Console check for manual actions and sudden impression drops

  • Broken backlink check: external sites linking to pages that no longer exist
  • Comparison with 3–5 competitors you choose together with us
  • Link gap analysis: sites linking to competitors but not to you
  • Toxic link list and a ready disavow file, if one is needed
  • Prioritized 3-month action plan with effort estimates
  • A 45-minute call to walk through the findings and answer questions

How we work

01

Brief and requirements

You describe the task and current workflow. We clarify requirements, choose a first stage and prepare a quote.

02

Data collection

We export links from every source and merge them. Each tool sees a different set of links, so one tool alone is not enough.

03

Manual review

AI sorts thousands of rows quickly, then a senior specialist checks the doubtful ones by hand. Automated toxicity scores are often wrong, so a person makes the final call.

04

Competitor comparison

We map the sources where competitors have links and you don't. We drop what can't be replicated and keep the realistic targets.

05

Report and call

You receive the report, sheets and disavow file, all yours to keep. We explain each item and help you decide what to do in-house and what to hand to a vendor.

Scope and limits

  • We don't promise higher rankings or traffic. The audit shows problems and opportunities; results depend on what you do next
  • We don't buy links or send removal requests unless you ask separately and agree on a separate budget
  • We won't recommend disavowing links just in case. Google ignores most ordinary spam, and an unnecessary disavow can do harm

FAQ

What is a toxic backlink?

It's a link from a site built to manipulate search: junk directories, site networks, pages with auto-generated text. A single one rarely matters. The problem starts when thousands of them make up most of your profile.

Should I disavow every link that scores badly?

No. Google has learned to ignore most spam on its own. Disavow is useful when there's a manual action or clear evidence of paid links. Otherwise we keep suspicious links under watch.

What access do you need from me?

Read-only access to Google Search Console and a list of the competitors you see as your main rivals. We use our own Ahrefs and Semrush subscriptions, so you don't need to buy them. All report files are yours after delivery.

How is this different from free online link checkers?

Free tools give you a number and a generic score. We combine several data sources, review suspicious links manually and compare you with real competitors. You get an action plan, not just a figure.

How soon will I see results after the audit?

It depends on what we find. If there was a manual action, it can be lifted a few weeks after a reconsideration request. New links work slower, usually over months. We don't guarantee exact timing.

Can you carry out the plan afterwards?

Yes, as part of monthly SEO, or you can take the report and work on it yourself or with another vendor. Payment is in stages, and all access and files are yours under the agreed terms.
